Originally from a small town in Lancashire, I now study Illustration at the University of Cumbria, based in Carlisle, and will be due to finish my degree in summer 2022. I have a passion for colour, textiles, drawing, print making and nature, and my time at university has helped me to develop these. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the Lake District, fitness, playing the piano, and catching up with a friend over coffee.
A lot of my work revolves around textiles and I like to explore and experiment with different textures and colours both in analogue and digital formats. The projects I most enjoy are campaigns and those which involve lots of communication. However, most of my personal work is based on the things around me such as nature and people. Alongside this, I produce commissions, do design work for local restaurants (such as menu and interior design), as well as managing my Etsy store, and replenishing stock for a local florist where I sell handmade gifts and cards. My biggest influences are Rosie James and Cas Holmes in the world of textiles and mixed media story telling. I am also a huge fan of both Jill Calder and Lucinda Rogers.
